SaguntoSagunto, Spain 2005. The ISO container invented
in the 1930s by Malcolm Mclean continues to be the model for many prefab houses
even well into the 21st century. Conventional prefab design fits the program
into these containers. The Sagunto project proposes instead factory assembled
programmatic modules that are put together to form a complete prefab structure.
The modules are like a set of children´s building blocks that can be stacked,
or added in series to build complex and customizable structures.
